How does LAW help our clients?

Membership in LAW allows member firms to have access to a host of lawyers available to clients who have businesses and legal matters outside of their home jurisdictions. It gives access to businesses anywhere in the world searching for highly-competent international lawyers. Our membership is just a phone call or an email away from responding to a client's needs, whether they occur across state, provincial or country lines.

How do we know we can work with an international lawyer on another continent who is not part of your firm?

Prospective members, including our firm, undergo a thorough due diligence review by the Executive Committee. Once an application is approved by the Executive Committee, it then goes to the membership for review. Personal knowledge about the other attorneys and their work is very important to conducting business. Once you are a LAW member, there are regional meetings as well as an Annual General Meeting each year. Our firm is required to attend these meetings in order to retain our membership in LAW, and we are happy to do so. At these meetings, we get to know the representatives of other firms personally and professionally, and we establish the kind of relationship and trust that we have with our own partners.

Why did we choose to join Lawyers Associated Worldwide?

Not all international legal organizations have the strict attendance requirements that LAW has. We have professional and personal relationships with the other members as a result of attending regional and international meetings. When we need an international lawyer, we know that lawyer, what kind of work he or she does, and more importantly, we know how to reach them quickly. We are very accessible to each other.
